Jalen Williams gets the lottery buzz
The 6-foot-7 young man from Santa Clara pulled up the draft boards after his strong performance in the NBA draft and has established himself as a first-round pick. After working for a handful of teams, Williams’ stock has continued to rise towards the draft and there are overdue rumors that Williams could sneak into the lottery, anywhere from # 8 (New Orleans Pelicans) to # 19 (Minnesota Timberwolves). .
“This process was just a blessing,” Williams told Yahoo Sports. “I come from a smaller school, but basketball is basketball and I feel like I can compete at the highest level, and I’m ready to get down to business for any team that chooses me.” – Kristen Peek

Report: Pistons trade Jeram Grant with Trail Blazers for picking the first round
The Detroit Pistons sold 28-year-old winger Jerami Grant to the Portland Trail Blazers for one of the Milwaukee Bucks’ top four protected 2025 draft picks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Portland and Detroit will reportedly swap the No. 36 and 46 in the second round of the NBA draft on Thursday. The Blazers will return the Pistons’ 2025 second round pick to Detroit. Portland also awarded the Pistons the most favorable pick of their second round and that of the New Orleans Pelicans in 2026.
Grant averaged 19.2 points (out of 43/36/84 shooting divisions), 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 31.9 minutes in 47 games for the Pistons last season. He was a pivotal role player for the Denver Nuggets during their run to the 2020 Eastern Conference Finals before seeking more directing responsibilities in free agency. The Pistons gave him a $ 60 million three-year contract and increased usage in 2020, and he emerged as a fringe All-Star candidate. With him as the main option, however, Detroit has won 43 games in the past two seasons.
Grant is another winger in a long line of options the Blazers have been trying to fit into six-time All-Star point guard Damian Lillard, and he may be the best of a group that has included Norman Powell, Robert Covington, Gary Trent Jr. , Trevor Ariza, Rodney Hood, Mo Harkless and Al-Farouq Aminu, among others.

Las Vegas turns a corner on Paolo Banchero’s odds to go to number 1
In the past 24 hours, Banchero’s odds to be drafted for first place overall on BetMGM have gone from +900 to +200 (Chet Holmgren is now +225). This is quite a swing to believe that the Orlando Magic are considering Banchero with the # 1 pick (many say it’s a two-way contest between Jabari Smith and Chet Holmgren).
Banchero is the most physically ready of the top three players with his 6ft 10 and 250lb frame. When Holmgren and Banchero collided last November, Banchero appeared to be the better player as he scored 21 points, five rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes. A scout or executive from each NBA team was in the building watching Banchero excel in transitioning as the main ball manager and tiptoe on the defensive with Holmgren.
This swing in Las Vegas could be an indication that Banchero trained excellently in Orlando, with Holmgren playing shy and not saying who he trained for or how those workouts went.
