Paul Pogba: Juventus reaches an agreement in principle to sign the midfielder on a free transfer after the departure of Man Utd | News from the transfer center

Juventus have an agreement in principle to sign Paul Pogba on a free transfer following his departure from Manchester United.

Heaven in Italy they are signaling that the duration of the agreement has yet to be finalized. It will be a four-year or three-year contract with an option for another year.

Pogba is expected to officially sign the contract in early July.

Manchester United confirmed earlier this month that Pogba would be leaving the club at the end of his contract this summer. The move to Juventus would mark a return to a club where Pogba spent four years before returning to United in 2016.

As he closes his 30s, Pogba is aware that this could be the last big move of his career and he wants to take his time to make sure he makes the right decision.

Manchester City have also made a tremendous offer to sign Pogba from arch rivals United, with Pep Guardiola meeting the midfielder and the club drafted a lucrative deal to demonstrate their desire to sign him.

But while the World Cup winner considered City’s offer, he felt the noise and hatred that accompanied it wouldn’t be worth it.

Pogba: Man Utd didn’t offer me anything | “I want to show they made a mistake”

Pogba complained United offered him “nothing” despite the fact that the midfielder would be offered two contracts worth over £ 290,000 a week.

Sky Sports News he knows he’s been offered a 3.5% raise on his contract.

In a preview of ‘The Pogmentary’, seen from AtleticoPogba talks to his late agent Mino Raiola on United’s second proposal last July.

“Did Manchester (United) make a second offer?” Pogba asks Raiola.

“Yes”, Raiola replies. “They absolutely want you to stay. To me, the offer doesn’t reflect that. I told them, ‘If you want me to stay, don’t make that offer.’ I’ll make them understand that if they really want you to stay and they want to build a project around to you, this time they have to act differently and put the money on the table. “

“They are bluffing,” says Pogba. “How can you tell a player that you absolutely want him and not offer him anything? Never seen.”

Pogba al Man Utd: badly managed or a mistake?

Was Paul Pogba mismanaged or a mistake at Manchester United?

Dan Sansom of Sky Sports:

It was a deal that caused a social media frenzy. Emerging from the shadows with a red devil marked on his hair, Pogba’s Manchester United announcement video in 2016 was followed by a sponsored music clip featuring Stormzy. The hype about #POGBACK had begun.

It had to be the start of something special. A new era for a club still in trouble after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson three years earlier.

But Pogba was unable to inspire United in ancient glories. The 2017 League Cup and the Europa League are the only trophies of his six-season spell.

After being whistled off the pitch against Norwich and sustaining a calf injury in Liverpool in April, Pogba will now leave the club for a second time. He can’t just be blamed for United’s lack of success, but his departure marks a disappointing end to a transfer that promised so much.

As he approaches his return to Juventus, Sky Sports looks to Pogba’s second career in United.

How did it go so badly? Was it badly handled? Or was it Pogba who made the mistake?
