Brooks Koepka is the latest player to join LIV Golf and it is fitting that his decision is somewhat surprising.

This is because Koepka – in public and apparently in private – has always claimed that he is not thrilled with the idea.
He was one of the first PGA Tour players to publicly challenge the vision of a “super league” having smaller fields with the best players.
And in February of this year he claimed his future was on the PGA Tour. However, he predicted that the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series would undoubtedly pinch some of the game’s biggest stars.
“Everyone is talking about money,” Koepka said. “[The Saudis have] enough, so I don’t see him backing down. They can simply double up and they will find out. They will take their boys. Someone will run out and go and do it. “
Sold out, huh ?!
Koepka also said: “I understand that the stars are what people come to see. But these guys we see winning, who have been grinding for 10 or 15 years, is what makes the stories interesting. I would have a hard time looking at the boys and putting them out of work “.
You may also recall that Koepka targeted Phil Mickelson when Lefty’s comments about working with the “fearful” Saudis went public.
Mickelson accused the PGA Tour of “hateful greed”.
Koepka posted this in response to this:
He also said: “I think everyone here is happy,” he added. “[Mickelson] he can think what he wants to think, man. He can do what he wants. I think everyone out here is happy. I think a lot of people out here have the same opinion. “
However, Koepka has made up her mind now and there is no going back.
His decision sparked these humorous responses on social media:
Brooks Koepka going to LIV is not surprising. He said he only cares about the majors and finding new ways to make Bryson’s life miserable.

If Koepka came out and said he’ll be joining LIV just for the money and the ability to keep putting Bryson in a locker whenever possible, I’d probably give him a ride.

If Koepka didn’t think PGA Tour golf was a real sport, maybe he’ll find what he’s looking for in his career as a YouTube content creator.

Brooks Koepka is the latest golfer to join the LIV Golf Series.
“My only joy in life is beating Bryson DeChambeau, so naturally when he joined the LIV series, I should have gone too,” said Koepka.
